Tupelo Raycom, a Raycom Media company, is the product of the 2017 merger of Tupelo-Honey and WebStream Sports.
Tupelo-Honey was founded by Cary Glotzer in 1996 and spent over twenty years producing a variety of sports and entertainment programming, live events and branded entertainment. While starting as a traditional broadcast and cable television production company, Tupelo-Honey evolved into a content creator for all media. With clients that included almost every major network and sports league, Tupelo-Honey quickly moved into the digital space, helping corporate giants like AT&T and Conde Nast develop digital content for their customers. By 2016, Tupelo-Honey became one of the largest independent packagers of live sports and music in the U.S.
Founded in 2006, WebStream Sports grew from three-camera streaming coverage for the NCAA and Horizon League to national television productions on ESPN and CBS Sports Network. Under the direction of John Servizzi and Greg Weitekamp, WebStream grew from five full-time staff to 35 and expanded to include offices in Indianapolis and Charlotte. WebStream’s innovative production model includes the use of next generation production workflows and full-time staff in key positions, enabling consistently high quality output that meets client budgets and exceeds expectations.
